I am indebted to Mr. Young at the marina. He helped get my boat motor running, and notified the DGIF boat warden to look me. I was out there 2 miles from marina with a boat that wouldn't go. They towed it in. I would have had much worse day without the help!
One of the best marinas I have ever been to! The staff is very friendly and for the location they have good choices of snacks, the fuel prices don't gouge you like other marinas seem to. One of the local Italian restaurants will even deliver pizzas here, the marina staff keep brochures for their delivery service in the store.
It is a great location along Highway 57 in Bassett Virginia. There a two boat ramps and ample parking for vehicles and boat trailers alike. Philpott lake is a beautiful place to go boating and swimming. It also has gas and supplies at the store located at the pier.
So many wonderful memories start here!
